MISSION

FILLING THE GAP.
BUILDING THE ATHLETE.

Prairie Edge Football was created to help fill a gap in football development opportunities for Brandon and Westman athletes. Built on the belief that local athletes deserve more opportunities to grow outside of regular team settings, Prairie Edge is focused on providing purposeful, high quality development through structured coaching, intentional teaching, and real progression. More than just extra reps, Prairie Edge exists to help athletes build skill, confidence, and football understanding in an environment that values discipline, growth, and the mindset needed to keep improving both on and off the field.

Bryce Keilback’s football journey began in Westman through WYFL before continuing at Neelin High School and later Dickinson State University in North Dakota, where he competed as a student athlete on a Top 25 ranked program and won multiple conference championships. That path gave Bryce experience across multiple levels of the game and helped shape his understanding of skill development, competition, and the long-term commitment it takes to grow as an athlete.

After his playing career, Bryce moved directly into coaching and has spent the past seven years in Manitoba high school football, serving as an offensive coordinator at Neelin High School and more recently at Crocus Plains High School in Manitoba’s top division. Along the way, he has helped develop athletes who have advanced to U SPORTS, the CJFL, and the CFL.

With a background in both education and exercise science, Bryce brings clear communication, strong teaching, and a progression first mindset to every session. Recognized as a recent WHSFL Assistant Coach of the Year nominee and part of a Tier 1 AAAA Coaching Staff of the Year, Bryce is committed to creating an environment where athletes are challenged with purpose, taught with clarity, and given the tools to grow with confidence both on and off the field.

Connor Ketchen brings a strong football background as both a player and coach. His football journey began in the Westman Youth Football Association before continuing at Neelin High School, where he earned WHSFL All-Star honours. Connor went on to represent Team Manitoba at the U18 Canada Cup, and later spent time as a starting player with the University of Regina Rams in U Sports.

With over 11 years of coaching experience, Connor has worked with multiple programs, beginning with the South Sask Selects and continuing into the Manitoba high school football scene. Connor currently coaches at Crocus Plains, where he was recognized as the WHSFL Assistant Coach of the Year,  and was also part of the 2025 Coaching Staff of the Year.

Connor brings a detailed understanding of the game’s tactical side and is passionate about helping athletes grow beyond surface level skill work. His coaching focuses on teaching athletes depth and understanding behind technique, assignments, reads, and decision making so athlete can gain an edge, and develop long term.
